Our spring 2026 issue of WordWorks explores the many tools available to us as word crafters—and we'd love to hear your ideas. What tools have become indispensable to your writing practice? Has writing software helped you wrangle multiple drafts of a book-length project? Do you have a relationship with a special pen? Where do you record ideas or craft Haiku?
Submission Guidelines & Rates
Non-Fiction Articles
We prioritize advice, inspiration, and information.
- $125 for articles of 400–550 words.
- $250 for articles of 800–1,050 words.
- We consider longer features as well.
Creative Work & Art
Members only
- $50 for poems (up to 30 lines)
- $100 for cover art.
- $50 for selected reprints.

Please submit up to two pitches (150 words max per pitch). We prioritize submissions from FBCW members
